Resumen

La necesidad de aprender de las consecuencias del SARS-CoV-2, a fin de anticiparse a eventuales y futuras pandemias, es una razón de peso para introducir mejoras sustantivas, tanto en el cuidado de la Salud Pública como en los sistemas de prevención. Sin embargo, resulta más difícil prepararlas cuando ciertos sectores de la población dan muestras de fatiga pandémica o cuestionan decisiones que afectan a la esfera personal. Para hacer frente a tales reacciones, conviene abrir vías para que la ciudadanía se implique, estrategia recomendada por la Organización Mundial de la Salud y por la Comisión Europea. Aquí se argumenta en favor de la prevención con enfoque cívico: 1) Anticiparse, estar preparados para futuras pandemias es un deber; 2) El problema es que no suele ser un tema preferente en la agenda política; 3) Tampoco lo es la colaboración ciudadana en la gobernanza de la política sanitaria. Cabe preguntarse, entonces, por los canales de comunicación y participación, abiertos a la ciudadanía, entidades o personas interesadas en cuestiones de Salud pública, más adecuados para lograrlo.
