Futuro de la comensalidad en personas mayores

El comer social o comensalidad es una actividad que trasciende a la dietética y nutrición en todas las etapas de la vida, permitiendo a personas mayores fortalecer vínculos sociales, transmitir saberes alimentarios y aportar bienestar biopsicosocial. Con el fin de otorgar un punto de vista analítico de la comensalidad y su acontecer en el futuro de personas mayores, se presenta una visión general del tema desde un enfoque sociosanitario, comenzando con una conceptualización del rol e importancia de la comensalidad, reflexionando sobre la realidad del comer juntos en la actualidad y profundizando, entre otros aspectos, en la influencia que las tecnologías o la globalización conlleva al porvenir del comer en compañía. Se concluye que el futuro de la comensalidad para personas mayores está en sintonía con otras etapas del curso vital, y que esta acción, puede ser visualizada para la atención sanitaria clínica o comunitaria.
