Abstract

The institutions participating in the seminar on bad science and evidence-based medicine want to express our desire and commitment to collaboration to promote good science and its best application to clinical medicine.

Science provides accurate information so that citizens can make informed and responsible decisions about safe and effective therapies and treatments, as well as prevent their health or economy from being put at risk.

As an essential tool to search for evidence and objective, shared, communicable, verifiable and reproducible knowledge, the scientific community uses a rigorous method. The scientific method allows us to configure global communities of thought and practice, in which knowledge and culture are preserved, expanded and disseminated.
