Abstract

A new virus called SARS-CoV-2 by the World Health Organization (WHO), and the cause of COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease, 2019), has generated a pandemic that tested the health systems of all countries. of the world. This crisis caused the authorities of these health systems to have to undertake contingency plans and public health measures to face it, such as confinement, social distancing, self-isolation, the use of masks and increasing the number of hospital beds (especially in critical rooms), in addition to the increase in electromedical resources and qualified personnel, added to the reorganization of medical care protocols at various levels.
